A brief guide to our funeral charges... Our Service, Support and Administrative Charge includes all administration, staffing and facilities. Also included are the professional services; arranging and supervising the funeral; mortuary facilities on our premises or use of a Chapel of Rest and viewing when embalming is approved; guidance with certification and registration; dealing with correspondence; preparing and submitting press notices as required; receiving and listing floral tributes and In Memoriam donations; attending to all documentation and disbursements; our funeral director and four bearers to staff the funeral on the day. Our vehicle charge provides for the use of a hearse and one limousine over a ten mile radius from our premises. Our service as detailed above provides for the supply of four professional and trained bearers to carry the selected coffin at each funeral ceremony. Should the limousine not be required, we have to provide an additional vehicle to carry all the necessary staff to the funeral and therefore no allowance can be given. We are able to offer weekend and distance mileage funerals elsewhere in the County and Country, by special quotation. We do provide a Basic Simple Funeral, as required by The National Association of Funeral Directors of which we are members, a separate explanatory notice and price sheet can be obtained from any of our funeral homes. Embalming we regard as an essential element of our traditional funeral service, consequently no additional charge is raised. However, embalming must be authorised if use of one of our Chapels of Rest is required, otherwise mortuary facilities only are required. A complete list detailing our services and costs, is available from each of our funeral homes, where are staff will be happy to explain them.
