Please contact us for a brochure including details of all available stones Each type of stone has it's own attributes and styles in presentation of looks and finish: Rustic- Polished - Plain - Veined The choice of memorial stone as well as the finish and overall look may well be determined by Local Authority Bye Laws governing the control of the Cemetery. Churchyards have their own Regulations Memorials can simply be divided into three categories or types: Lawn, Headstone or Full Memorials which are in turn determined by the place of burial selected and in some locations the manner in which Cremated Remains may be buried following a cremation. Lawn Memorials - Lawn Memorials may take the form of a stone marker set into and flush with the ground similar in presentation to "stepping stones". Headstone Memorials - Headstone Memorials stand erect at the end of the grave and are placed in orderly lines somewhat similar to those seen in War Cemeteries
Full Memorials - The Full Memorial is that which is made up of the Headstone and what is called a curb set, being the border edging round the entire grave space. These memorials may take the form of miniature gardens, be filled with coloured stone chippings or covered in stone.
Format & Style of Lettering - With all memorials there is a need to select the format and style of lettering to be used to record the name of the occupant of the grave and such other information as may be desired or permitted: Cut - Lead - Raised - Raised Lead - Gilded - Raised Gilded Whatever the desire we are able to assist in the design, production, lettering and erection of a memorial, in the selected Churchyard or Cemetery locally or at a distant location, steering you through the myriad choices available, showing you samples of stone and types of lettering.
Once an order is placed we provide a design layout enabling you to see what the memorial will look like when finished to include the lettering, we seek your approval to proceed or amend as desired before making the final commitment Memorial renovation and Stoneguard Insurance - As part of our Memorial service we offer memorial insurance, arranged through specialist insurers, which covers the cost of repairs or replacement of the memorial in the event of damage caused through accident or sadly these days vandalism.
We also offer an annual inspection and maintenance contract, which is especially convenient, knowing the grave and memorial are cared for, where the cemetery or churchyard may be at a distance. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
