BALLARD & SHORTALL BLESSED BY BISHOP

 The Bishop of Arundel & Brighton, Chairman of Horsham Distric Council and Funeral Director Angela Spencer prepare to release doves
The Bishop of Arundel & Brighton, together with the Chairman of Horsham District Council and Funeral Directors Clare Shortall and Angela Spencer prepare to release doves to mark the Blessing.

Ballard & Shortall recently welcomed the Bishop of Arundel and Brighton, the Rt Rev'd Keiran Conry to their new Horsham funeral home to conduct a service of dedication in the Chapel of Rest. The service, hosted by Funeral Director and local resident, Angela Spencer, was also attended by a number of representatives from the Horsham faith communities as well as the Chairman of Horsham District Council, Cllr Claire Vickers.

DIPLOMA SUCCESS FOR CHRISTOPHER JOHNSON AT DERIC SCOTT

Christopher Johnson, Funeral Director at Deric Scott, the Company's newest recipient of the Diploma in Funeral Directing.

We are delighted to announce that Christopher Johnson, Funeral Director at Deric Scott, Bournemouth, has successfully completed the Diploma in Funeral Directing.

The DipFD as it is known, represents the 'gold standard' in funeral service training in the United Kingdom and is the only professional qualification recognised by the National Association of Funeral Directors, the leading industry body.

The Diploma requires successful completion of a preliminary exam, called the Foundation Certificate, as well as an oral exam, a written examination and a number of coursework assignments.

Robert Bowater, General Manager of Deric Scott commented: "We are very proud of Christopher's achievement, which demonstrates the skill and care that he has shown countless families throughout his time working with Deric Scott."

LINGFIELD FUNERAL HOME DEDICATED

Ballard & Shortall's new Lingfield funeral home welcomed the Bishop of Arundel & Brighton to dedicate its Chapel of Rest in October. The Service was attended by a range of representatives from various Lingfield faith groups as well as members of the local community.

Ballard & Shortall's opening in Lingfield represents a return to the town following an absence of 5 years. Ballard & Shortall incorporates the established Reynolds of Lingfield name.
